Where is the international English Spring 2013 tournament it's not showing up in my list

Yeah Rich, I agree. No doubt all long-time players acquire extras for the vocabulary. But those 7 letter specialties, well, only word ninjas remember them. The rest cheat. Try having a chat during the game with a few of the players who play those 7 letter obscurities. That's the telling point for me. Word ninjas love language, and hence, they also are particular about grammar and syntax. Cheats, well, they struggle to string grammatically correct sentences together. Ho hum..

Whoa there Mr Defensive, I didn't call anyone a cheat. I was just wondering if there was an acceptance for people to use computers to help. I have seen words put down that would require you to have very specialist subject knowledge to know what they are, I am talking 7 letter words here not the ones you guess.

If someone has an impressive vocab doesn't mean they cheat.Some ppl have been playing regularly for a long period of time and have added a large no of words to their vocab base in the process.Calling someone a cheater is as pathetic as cheating yourself.What you call "impressive" now may be bread and butter for you once you gain a lot of exp.Even i used to think like you when i was new to tournaments but now its ok.

There are some impressive vocabularies in my tournament. Do people cheat? and is it acceptable to do so? I dont see the point in cheating but if winning is that important then i can see why people do it!

and rank keeps fluctuating even when you are not playing but your rating points remain constant.

There is a mathematical formula for calculating performance rating points.You might not want to go deep into the math.It takes into account your current rating,your score in a game,opponent's score and opponents current rating to arrive at a new performance rating.Based on this performance rating you get a rank.So a person who hasn't played a single will have rating pts=1500 but will not have a rank. Thats about it.

How are Performance Rating and Global Rank calculated ... based on what? And do they have different meaning ... seem to be the same to me; if one goes up, so does the other

Just warning all players out there I'm sure that most of you have fallen victim to "wouter jan" and his score changing cheating he was removed for it but unfortunately he's back under the new UN "the_hero" so keep an eye on your scores. :-)

Donyian80 is a such a loser.. He reported a wrong score and even claimed he won even if its not! As a matter of fact he resigned then reported a wrong score knowing that he is going to lose. I was very honest with every match scores I end up reporting 0-0 ,and now this guy is messing with every person he was playing with, I just hope this guy would be disqualified.

Donyian80 is not willing to play me. I have invited him twice now. He has posted a score of 999 him and 100 me claiming he won the match. This player is hostile at best. He takes advantage of the time where he starts a game and doesn't return til almost the end to finish. I am truly tired of this guys antics over several games.
